Hottest day to day wed 15/7/03 since 1976, The fountain looks tempting. A small number of travellers actually stop in the town and enjoy the 'Dover hospitality' that is on offer.

Dover is one of the most-visited towns in England but most of the 13 million people who travel to Dover each year are bound for one of the many ferries.

The first car was carried across the Channel in 1908 but the Eastern Docks car ferry terminal was not built until 1953. It is now the world’s busiest car and passenger ferry terminal.

Taken from the top of the White Cliffe's. The famous harbour is the busiest passenger port in the world and is constantly working, 24 hours a day. At the eastern side of the harbour (the Eastern Docks) is the main passenger terminal with seven ferry berths.

Dover.

The ’White Cliffs of Dover’ need little introduction and are known throughout the world. Situated in the southeast corner of Kent, the cliffs are the first glimpse of England gained by many international visitors travelling from continental Europe. High on the White Cliffs above the town and Eastern Docks is Dover Castle, with it's ancient keep and dungeons.

Reculver.

An early Saxon church was built on the site of the abandoned Roman fort in 699 when Egbert, King of Kent, granted land for the foundation of a monastery The Saxon Minster later be came St.Mary's Church of Reculver The towers were added in the 12th century.
